The Leopoldstraße Canteen has once again received three stars from "PETA Deutschland" for their varied vegan menu and hospitality.
PETA in particular praised that apart from offering at least two main vegan dishes, such as Pho, Amiwo or Rougaille, there's also the possibility to combine different side dishes as well as what's offered at the salad bar. Also, there's a large selection of vegan starters and desserts. Furthermore, the StuCafé in the canteen is completely vegetarian/vegan and offers a large variety of delicious dishes and snacks.
Ralf Daumann, Head of the Studierendenwerk München Oberbayern's University Gastronomy says: "Since 2021, the daily share of vegan and vegetarian main dishes in all our canteens is roughly 66 percent. For that reason, we are delighted to have received this award, which shows our commitment for vegan diet in our University Gastronomy".
