A day trip to a winter wonderland?
If you want to go sledging in Upper Bavaria, the Obere Firstalm is the perfect place to try sledging for the first time.
Hiking up can take 40-60 minutes; after that you will be able to enjoy the breathtaking view of the mountains while having a well-earned rest in the mountain hut to warm yourself up again before you and all the other sledging fans can enjoy going down the hill on rented sledges.
You will definitely need winter boots and winter clothes, including gloves and perhaps a ski jacket, trousers and goggles. It is also good to wear a ski helmet.
