BAföG - Application Status

Applications and other requests are dealt with in the order we receive them. It doesn’t make any difference whether the documents or questions were submitted by post, via the upload portal, fax or email. Initial applications ("Erstanträge") are given priority over follow-up applications ("Weiterförderungsanträge").

Please go to the German version of this page for up-to-date information on the application status. The dates provided on the German page are the dates of the oldest applications/incoming mail that have not yet been dealt with.

If you received a request regarding your application, the date provided for "Nachgereichte Unterlagen/Sonstige Eingänge" on the German page would be the relevant one for you.

The application status is regularly updated on the German page at the beginning of the week.
