The Private Accommodation Service
Every year, our Private Accommodation Service passes on the details of several hundred private rooms to students who have not yet been offered accommodation in a hall of residence. Please note that the Studierendenwerk merely acts as an intermediary, inserting the private landlords’ offers into the database. We do not check the landlords or their offers.
If you are looking for a room for the beginning of your studies in October, the best time to look would be between July and September. In October, a large number of new students come to Munich looking for a room. So the earlier you start looking for a room, the higher your chances to find one.
Here you can take a look at rooms and flats currently being offered in Munich and the surrounding area (including Freising and Rosenheim). In order to obtain a landlord’s contact details, you first need to register here.
