Halls of Residence Studentenstadt Freimann

Administrative Office:  Studentenstadt

Christoph-Probst-Straße 10
80805 München

U6 Studentenstadt

A current highlight is the completion of our first newly constructed building, formerly known as the “Blaue Haus”. It was opened in May 2023, offering 246 new accommodation units.

The house that used to be referred to as the “Blaue Haus” has received the new name Sophie-Scholl-Haus, in memory of the member of the resistance against National Socialism.

Most students living in the Studentenstadt Feimann, which is the largest student residential complex in Germany, consider their halls to be ''a social and cultural experimentation ground''. This is particularly true for the ''Altstadt'' (constructed 1961-1968), as this is where you’ll find the shared flats. There is no pressure to socialise, but communication is somewhat more difficult to avoid in the "Altstadt" than it is in the skyscrapers of the ''Neustadt'' (constructed 1970-1977). Both the "Altstadt" and the "Neustadt" are surrounded by green and offer fabulous opportunities to enjoy life outside in summer. The student self-administration is very active in Freimann.
