Emergency Accommodation

Starting 7th October 2024, the Studierendenwerk München Oberbayern will temporarily provide a limited number of emergency rooms for students who have not yet found a place to stay and are in need of short-term accommodation.

Locations:

  • Munich, hall of residence Chiemgaustraße (for students enrolled in Munich and Garching) – contact wohnen-team4@stwm.de
  • Freising, hall of residence Giggenhauser Straße (for students enrolled in Freising) – contact  wohnen-team4@stwm.de
  • Rosenheim, hall of residence Westerndorfer Straße (for students enrolled in Rosenheim) – contact wohnen-team6@stwm.de

Allocation:

The rooms will be allocated from 7 October 2024 onwards, as follows:

For Munich and Freising:

Opening hours:
Monday - Friday 9:00 a.m. - 12 noon
Tuesday and Thursday 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Fridays closed
Closed on 21st and 24th October – no allocation, no extensions possible

For Rosenheim:

Opening hours:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Wednesday 2:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Fridays closed
Closed on 21st and 24th October – no allocation, no extensions possible


Please note!

  • This offer is exclusively intended for enrolled students. Please have a look at our Policy for Allocating Accommodation.
  • Allocation will be carried out according to first come, first served.
  • The rooms will be available until 29th November 2024.
  • Tenancy agreements will be drawn up for period of one week. Extensions are possible on a weekly basis until 29th November 2024.
  • There is NO automatic transfer to a "regular" tenancy after the 29th of November 2024.
  • Only cash is accepted.
  • Advance reservations are not possible.
